The Homme de Fer station did not exist on the old network: there was a station nearby in the Rue de la Haute Montée ... purchase any ticket or subscription from tram stations, Crédit Mutuel branches and some other approved vendors.
About 1/2 hour south of the beaches at Normandy, and en route to Mont St. Michel is the lovely little town of Auney-sur-Odon. Hotel de la Place is a fine hotel with an old time hospitality that gives one the feel of how life must have been during 1940s.
We stayed one night at the Ibis Falaise Coeur de Normandie. It was a great value for the price. The hotel is just outside of town. In fact, we had a view of the castle from our room!! It is an easy drive into town to all the sites. Falaise is a charming.

Hôtel de la Poste is located in Falaise, a 10-minute walk from the Chateau de Guillaume-le-Conquérant. It offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. All of the rooms are en suite with a shower, flat-screen TV and some of the rooms look out over the chateau.
